Community Guidelines
Version 1.0 · Effective October 10, 2026
Rheter communities work when people feel safe to ask questions and get things wrong. These guidelines are how we protect that. They apply everywhere on Rheter: posts, comments, chat, direct messages, voice notes and live sessions.
01
Be respectful
Disagree with ideas, not people. No harassment, threats, bullying, or hate aimed at someone’s race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, nationality or background. Don’t pile on, and don’t follow people around the community.
02
Keep it safe
Nothing sexually explicit, graphically violent, or that encourages self-harm or dangerous acts. Anything that puts a child at risk is removed immediately and may be reported to the authorities. Rheter is for adults aged 18 and over.
03
Play fair in quizzes
Take quizzes yourself, on your own account. Don’t share answers while a quiz is open, use more than one account, or try to tamper with a timer. Attempts that look unusual are flagged for the creator to review, and a creator can void a question or an attempt.
04
No spam or scams
Don’t advertise, solicit money, run schemes, post misleading links, or flood a channel. Community rules can limit links and how fast you can post, and some actions are slowed down automatically.
05
Respect privacy and ownership
Don’t share other people’s personal details, private messages or screenshots of them without permission. Don’t copy, record or share a creator’s lessons or resources, and only post work you have the right to share.
06
Follow your community’s rules
Creators can add their own rules, such as staying on topic or when to post. Those apply alongside these guidelines. If they conflict, these guidelines win.
If you see something
Use the report option in the menu on a post, comment or message. Reports go to the community’s moderators. You can also block someone so they can’t message you. If something is serious and you can’t report it in the app, contact us.
Direct messages from people you don’t share a community with arrive as requests that you can accept or decline.
What happens when rules are broken
Moderators and Rheter can respond in proportion to what happened:
- a warning
- deleting the content
- muting someone for a while
- removing someone from a community
- banning someone
If you think a decision was wrong, you can appeal it in the app. Serious or repeated breaches can lead to your Rheter account being suspended. See our Terms of Service.
