Terms of Service
Version 1.0 · Effective October 10, 2026
The short version
- Rheter hosts learning communities. Each one is run by an independent creator.
- You must be 18 or over, and you’re responsible for your account and what you post.
- Be decent: follow the Community Guidelines, and play fair in quizzes.
- Paid communities renew until you cancel. You can cancel any time.
- We use your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Ten94 Technologies Limited, a company based in Nigeria, at 9 Adebajo Street, Gbagada, Lagos, Nigeria (“Rheter”, “we”, “us”). Rheter is a product of Ten94 Technologies Limited. They cover the Rheter member app, the creator dashboard and this website. By creating an account or using Rheter, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Community Guidelines. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Rheter.
Who can use Rheter
You must be at least 18 years old. We ask for your date of birth when you sign up and can’t create an account for anyone younger. You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
Your account
- Keep your password and your sign-in methods secure. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- One person, one account. Don’t share your account or create accounts to get around a ban or a quiz rule.
- You can see the devices you’re signed in on and sign any of them out from your settings. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to your account.
- A username and phone number can be set only once.
Communities
Rheter provides the platform. Communities are created and run by independent creators, who are responsible for their lessons, quizzes, rules and the people they let in. We are not your teacher, and we don’t check the accuracy of what creators teach. A creator may set extra rules for their community, as long as they don’t conflict with these terms.
Communities can be open to anyone with a link, joined with an invite code, joined by request and approval, or paid. A creator or moderator can refuse a request or remove a member in line with these terms and the Community Guidelines.
Your content
You own what you post, such as comments, messages, voice notes, images and files. You give Rheter a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display, stream and deliver your content, and to make copies as needed, solely to run Rheter and the community you posted it in. This licence ends when your content is deleted, except for copies we must keep for the reasons in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for your content. Only post what you have the right to post. Don’t post anything that breaks the law or our Community Guidelines.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Rheter to:
- harass, threaten, or abuse people, or post hateful or sexually explicit content;
- put anyone, especially children, at risk;
- post spam, scams, malware, or anything misleading;
- copy, record, share or sell a creator’s lessons or resources without their permission;
- break, probe or overload Rheter, scrape it, or use it to build a competing service;
- pretend to be someone else, or use another person’s account.
Quizzes and fair play
Quizzes run on our server’s clock so everyone gets the same time. Don’t cheat: don’t share answers during a quiz, use another person’s account, or try to tamper with a timer or an attempt. To protect fairness we record the device and IP address used for an attempt, and we may flag unusual attempts for the creator to review. A creator may void a question or an attempt, which can change scores and leaderboard positions. Correct answers and explanations appear after you submit.
Live sessions
Live sessions may be recorded and saved to the community’s library. By joining a live session you understand that your voice, chat messages and any questions or poll answers you submit may be visible to others and may appear in a recording. Don’t record or redistribute a session without the creator’s permission.
Paid communities
- Payment. Payments are processed by Paystack, by card. Prices are shown in the community’s currency before you pay.
- Renewals. A paid membership renews automatically for the same period until you cancel. We charge the card you saved at checkout. If a renewal fails, we give you a grace period of 7 days, and we remind you before your card expires.
- Cancelling. You can cancel from Billing in the app, and restart later.
- Refunds. If a community is deleted, we refund the unused part of your current period. Otherwise, payments are not refundable once a billing period has started, unless a charge was made in error, a refund is required by law, or the creator agrees to one. To ask for a refund, email us within 14 days of the charge.
- Fees and taxes. Rheter takes a platform fee from each payment before the creator is paid. The creator is the seller of a paid membership. Rheter provides the platform and collects payment for the creator through Paystack. Taxes on a paid membership, such as VAT, are the responsibility of whoever the law makes responsible for them. Where we are required to collect tax, we will add it to the price you pay.
If you are a creator
These extra terms apply to you if you run a community.
- You are responsible for your lessons, quizzes and posts, for having the rights to everything you upload, and for how you run and moderate your community.
- You must have at least two people who can moderate and send notifications. We remind you to add a second admin.
- If you charge for your community, we pay you through a Paystack subaccount after fees. You are responsible for your own taxes and for the bank details you give us being correct.
- You decide who has a staff role (admin, instructor or moderator) and are responsible for what they do.
- You may only use members’ information, such as progress and quiz results, to run and improve your community, and you must follow the law that applies to you.
- You can transfer ownership of a community to another admin. If you delete your account, your communities are suspended for 30 days so ownership can be transferred. If you delete a community, its content is permanently removed after 30 days.
Moderation
Members can report posts, comments, messages, people and live sessions. Moderators and Rheter can warn, delete content, mute, remove or ban a member, and automatic rules may act on obvious violations. If you think a decision was wrong, you can appeal it in the app. We may also take down content or a whole community that breaks these terms or the law.
Ownership
Rheter, including the app, website, design and software, belongs to us and our licensors. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use it as these terms allow. Lessons and resources belong to the creators who made them; as a member you may use them for your own learning, and some resources can be viewed but not downloaded.
Ending your use
You can stop using Rheter and delete your account at any time. See Delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, put others at risk, or if the law requires it. Where we reasonably can, we’ll tell you why. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as ownership, disclaimers and liability, continue after your account ends.
Disclaimers and liability
Rheter is provided “as is” and “as available”. Learning content is made by independent creators and is not professional advice. We don’t promise any particular result from using a community, or that Rheter will always be available or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, Rheter is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid through Rheter in the 12 months before the claim, or ₦10,000 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll change the version number above, and if a change is significant we’ll ask you to review and accept the new version in the app. If you keep using Rheter after that, you’re agreeing to the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes will be decided by the courts of Lagos State, except where the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
